I did something cool today..
Dee and me went volunteering at SPCA today. SPCA was having a JUMBLE SALE where they sell second hand items to raise funds for the animal shelter. For those who don’t know, SPCA is an animal shelter, mainly dogs and cats. For your information, i love pregnant cats. They are super yummy.
There were few counters selling different things, such as the clothes counter, VCD/DVD counter, electrical item counter, shoes counter and the SPCA souveneirs counter.
Oh yeah, we went there with our new buddy. His name is Clement. He likes to do all these stuff, but his friends don’t really join him, so he found us and we became his new kaki. He is our new buddy. He was the one who suggested us to volunteer today. He got really lost ( super lost ) when he was on the way to our house. I was so scared he went to Genting, because we live near Genting. If he went Genting, I really wouldn’t know what to do. But in the end, we united threegether. It was a happy ending story.
Anyway we were placed at the clothes counter. At first, we were kinda lost because it was our first time doing these kind of things. Our boss said, we can name the price for the clothes that we sell which ranged from RM 10 to RM 15. There was one lady, she asked me how much was the coat she was holding, so i said rm 15 lor, then she just look at me like i had just did something taboo.
I am a bad sales girl.
But i was learning from people especially Clement. Clement really can sell his clothes. This was what he said to his customers. ” Cik, belilah baju ini. Sangat cantik la kalau cik pakai baju ini. Sangat sexy.” (miss, buy this clothes. It look so pretty on you when you wear it. You will look really sexy!) Then the ladies laugh and gave him one look. Then he would measure the clothes on their body without them knowing it, and he would suddenly say ” Cik! Baju ini sangat sesuai dengan anak cik la, Saya sudah ukur dengan anak awak. Sangat fitting la”( miss, this shirt is very suitable for your kid. I have measured on him, it is very fitting) Damn funny. Then if they buy it right, he would say ” Terima kasih cik, saya percaya Tuhan akan memberkati kamu ” ( thanks for buying. I believe God will bless you and your family). Then i would laugh non stop. His sellings skill very good lor. He can say things like ” Cik! Kalau beli satu baju 5 ringgit, tapi kalau beli 2 saya bagi 4 ringgit. Lagi banyak kamu beli, lagi banyak diskaun saya bagi”( miss! If you buy one shirt it will be 5 ringgit, but if you buy two shirts, i will charge you 4 ringgit. The more you buy, the more discount i will give you!) or something like that la, while i get bullied by the customers. Sigh.
As the time passed by, the price of the things decreased too, as they want to clear their stocks. There were less customers too, so the number of volunteers decreases as well. I got bullied by a customer at that time. A lady came to me and asked me, ” Satu baju, satu Ringgit kan?!?!!!!” ( one shirt one ringgit right?!?!) The way she talk was like as though she wanted to eat me. I am a very soft girl, i was to scared to say no, and then i heard boss said wanted to clear stock, so i just said yes. So stupid la me. Urgh!!! I could have just said one baju 2 ringgit at least better than One for one!! So stupid!! Then i made sure she buy a lot. Yeap, kind of a lot la, 3 bags of clothes. But still, i am still regretting it.
Oh yea, actually i didn’t expect to do this kind of thing at SPCA. I thought i was supposed to walk the dog or clean the cats, not selling clothes. But it was ok la. At least i know how to sell things already. Hahaha. So funny.
Then three of us decided to leave early because it was super hot and not as happening as the hours before that. We went eating lunch at Ampang Point. Then we went bowling at Raintree Club.
We thought Clement how to bowl. And he improved! Wow, so happy la three of us. Dee and me as his sifu succeeded in teaching him the Tao of bowling and he was happy that he reached 100. Haha. Yeap, it was a cool day.
Planned to go out with him more often. We learn form each other so much.
