Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Happy Chinese New Year every one!!
How was your new year celebration? Was it good? Ours were absolutely fabulous!
After visiting our grandmother, we went to cousins’ place to play. It felt like we were young again. We played their Playstation 2. It was a guitar game. When you play well, they will say.. ‘ You Rock! ‘
Dee and me got so addicted to it. Haha. And we rocked a few times. So shiok play until like crazy. Hahaha.
Then we went to Curve. You know why we went to Curve? Andrew was performing his wushu-lion dance there. So cool right?
Actually he has been performing there for a few weeks already, but only yesterday we had the chance to see. We reached there just in time to see him fight with some one. But because he was the bad guy, he got killed.
I cried.
Then they had a chinese drum performance. Those who participated were teenagers of multi-races.
After the drum performance, there was lion dance. One of the lion was Andrew!! He controlled the head, so he gets to blink the lion’s eye and move the mouth. Haha.
When he was performing, he didn’t know we where there. We didn’t tell him we were coming. But anyways, after some jumping around and fooling around ( that is what usually cats do, jumping and fooling around =D ), they started to collect coins to give to the audiance.
People have to stick out their hand so the lions will go and give them these lucky coins.
When Andrew’s lion was coming, i stuck out mine. I was surprised that he came to me because at our area, not many people stuck their hand out. Only my hand, from my view. Haha. Then he gave me one. Hahaha. He didn’t know it was me. So funny. I wanted to call him but didn’t dare. Oh yea, he don’t look at the audieance face..
After he gave me the coin, then he walked away. Few seconds later he came back and lifted his head to see who that hand belongs too. Hahaha!! So funny! Then he saw us and he smiled to us! Later he told me that he could recognised my hand because i had a yellow string tied to it. Wow, people recognised my hand!!
Then he continued lion dancing and went rounding again for the second time. When he came near our place, I stuck out my hand again. But these time many people around me did that. But I think he could easily spot my hand, this time he gave me 3 coins when he give others less than that i think! Hehehehe. But we quickly hide it, afraid people will get jealous.
After the lion dance, the show was over. The show only lasted for 30 minutes. Then they had to pak up and leave.
We took a very big photo with Andrew though. Wanna see?
Can spot us? I’ll zoom in a little bit.
So pretty right, how they decorate the place. Don’t look like we are in Malaysia.
Happy Chinese New Year every body!
