Redang Island, Malaysia.
A bunch of teenagers and us went to Redang Island two weeks ago, right after our prom night to celebrate our freedom after finishing our A Levels course.
We stayed at Pelangi Resort on Redang Island of course. We took a plane from LCCT to Kuala Terengganu. From Kuala Terengganu, a bus of the resort took us to the jetty. From the jetty, we ride on a boat which took us to Redang Island.
The boat ride was fun.
It was very bumpy.
My bum was in agony. But the ride was cool.
So after about one hour of the bumpy ride, we arrived at the island..
We reached the island quite early about 10 something. Our snorkeling session was at 2.30pm, so we had a lot of time in our hands. After some briefing and checking into our rooms, we walked by the beach.
This beach is called Pasir Panjang which means long sand. The beach is very long too. Many resorts are located along this beach. We can walk into these resorts and use their hammock, toilets, and whatever you feel like using if you feel that your resort does not have everything that you need. Haha.
Our resort lack of hammocks, so we went to other resorts to use their hammocks.
We hop around the fantastic creatures.
The beach is really nice. I like it because it is very wide, and if you play in the sea, it is not too deep. The water is clear, we even saw white fishes swimming in the water near the sandy beaches.
When we arrived on the first day, it was really hot. But it made the sea glimmer like blue sapphires. it felt kind of unreal to me. But it was real..
After our lunch, it was time for snorkeling!!! We went up the boat and they took us to a spot. At this spot, the corals were kind of dull. The colours were dull and the variety of corals were dull. Actually i don’t know much about corals. Ha!
But there were fishes!! Fishes are nice! They swam around me.
On the second day at redang, they took us to the marine park in the morning. That morning was gloomy as it was going to rain. The sea was choppy. The corals there mostly looked like this..
The marine park was nice. We went there to see fishes more than corals. We spotted a dead jelly fish too. It was deadly dead.
It rained when we were snorkeling there. There were few times our guide blow wistle at us but i don’t know what he wants. I thought he wanted some fish, so i thought i was supposed to throw fishes at him, but in the end, i didn’t throw. Too hard to catch them. But i tried my best.. Oh ya, if you want to see many fishes, stick to the bread man!!
After that spot, we went to another spot. This time, the corals here are more interesting. More colour and more variety. But we saw an orange jellyfish lurking around the boat. But none of us were being attacked by it.
More like the corals you see in the tv yeah? most of the underwater photo was taken by my friend Ivan. Without him the photos won’t turn out so well. Hee~
Oh ya, these are a few of us being underwater:

haha. dee wasn’t posing. She is not a poser.

Me above water.
Besides snorkeling, we did other stuff too. Such as:

meditating

Making sand castle.. Can you see the yin and yang in front of the castle?
There are some few things you can see at Redang. You can visit the setting of a chinese movie called More More Tea Inn or something like that.
Or you can go to Redang beach resort to see blue sand at night. I saw red sand at laguna beach resort though. But i don’t have any photos of those.

Well we had quite some fun time there. Nothing much to complain except that the boys dumped the girls most of the time.
We were terribly bored. The guys go play poker wor. Go redang play poker. Sigh.
Anyway, ah! happy times~
