Plastic Bags

August 28th, 2008 by charmaine

Since we have nothing better else to do, we did this!

Make BIG plastic bags from small plastic bags!

It is a very simple process. Just cutting and sticking.

Photobucket
1. Gather all your small plastic bags.

Photobucket
2. Cut one side of the plastic bag, cut off the handles, and cut off the sealed plastic below the bag.

Photobucket
3. Cut as little as possible to maximise area gained and reduce wastage of plastic.

Photobucket
4. Repeat process with other plastic bags of different shape, sizes, colour and name (eg Giant or Tesco). Pile up plastic sheets neatly and switch off the ceiling fan. Place a heavy object on the plastic sheets to avoid plastic sheets go flying around you.

Photobucket
5. Using floor tiles, as a grid or guide, stick the plastic bags with sticky tape! To make sure each plastic sheets stick well to each other, use sticky tape on the front and the back of the plastic sheets.

6. Handles can be added.

This plastic bag it strong enough to carry quite some heavy loads if it was done properly and it depends what kind of plastic bags you used.

I will use it for recycling purpose as the black bags always tear whenever i use them.

Haha!
